SystemBase PCI Express/PCI Controller Series

SystemBase provides PCI Target Controller, SB4002A which supports PCI Local Bus Spec V2.3 and operates the clocks 33MHz and 66MHz. Most I/O Devices adopts Legacy I/O Bus which is similar to ISA Bus. But these devices can not interface with PCI directly. PCI Target Controller interfaces these Legacy I/O Bus Devices and PCI Bus. At present, PCI is the standard bus which has the structure of 32 or 64- bit parallel bus, but environments are changing. They want faster and more amounts of data treatment, and PCI Express will be sufficient to satisfy them. PCI Express Bus is the Serial Bus which supports the communication speed of 2.5Gbps now. And to interface Legacy I/O Devices and PCI Express Bus, PCI Express Master/Target Interface Controller is required.

SystemBase UART Series

SystemBase provides 4 channel UART with 16 byte or 25 byte FIFO. These UART convert the parallel datat of CPU into the asynchronous serial data, or vice versa. The COM port and RS232 port are the represntative trems of asynchronous serial communication, and the UART enables this. The size of TX/RX FIFO in UART determines its capability. 16C554 comes with a 16 byte FIFO and 16C1054 has a 256 byte FIFO. SystemBase´s UART 16C1054, has the best capability with the world´s largest 256 byte FIFO, while other vendor´s UARTs have at most a 128 byte FIFO. SB16C1054 also supports the manixum communication speed of 5.3Mbps.
